What a site should be running, per platform

Publish a release

The file and the version number go up together, which is what makes a version official. Windows and macOS are published separately, one upload each, because they are different files with different notes - the same version number on both is fine and usual.
Written per platform, not once for both. Installing the Windows build is a wizard and installing the macOS one is a shell script and a launchd job, so one changelog covering both would describe neither.

Issue a licence

The customer pastes the key into their console. Watch how (45 seconds)
Devices are machines monitored and printed to. Embedded devices are the machines that may also run the panel app - sign-in and release at the Konica or Sharp panel.
Past the users, the site adds nobody new and everybody already set up carries on printing. After the assurance, the site keeps what it runs and is not handed releases published later; 0 is none.

Change terms

Leave a box blank for unlimited, or a date blank for never. A renewal moves upgrade assurance on; releases published after it are not handed to the site. Nobody pastes a new key: the site takes the new terms at its next check-in.
Lowering embedded devices never switches off a machine already running the panel app. It stops the next new one.
